Just read on Sporting Life that the popular, dashing grey Nacarat has suffered a fatal injury in retirement. He earned just shy of half a million quid for connections and tasted Grade 1 success in the Aintree Bowl in 2011. Always seemed to enjoy Kempton (won the old Racing Post Chase there) and it was great to watch him bowling along in front and pinging his fences. RIP.
 
Gorgeous horse who used to be great to watch in front of Kauto around Kempton before the latter went on to produce his magical displays. A proper NH character.
