It was definitely Rossi's front wheel that took his helmet off man, crash report confirmed also that Edwards suffered a dislocated shoulder but is fine now. Edwards hit his torso at the exact time rossi hit his neck/head.

I hope this doesnt reflect to bad on MotoGp, as its nothing like that Indy drivel, they really have no care for driver safety in that.

its going to cause a major investigation into why his helmet came off. should never have happened under any circumstance in a professional race. my cousin died from the same problem when his helmet came off when he crashed. making it safer runs the risk of choking the rider in the event of a crash also. six of one half a dozen of the other really.

Tomizawa was a future champion in the making himself. It was the first time i'd seen someone die live on TV.

    Quite distraught by this news.

He was one of the upcoming riders who would be challenging for a World Championship sometime soon.

Loved the aggressive way he raced and he seemed like a really nice, down to earth guy.

Thoughts to his family, friends and team.

Truly awful.TBF he wouldn't have known much as it happened in the blink of an eye, but for the 2 riders who followed up.......a living nightmare.

Apparently he didn't die straight away, he was having a cardiac arrest when the paramedics got to him and didn't announce him dead until nearly 45mins after the crash, he must have been in some pain the poor lad.

He was a great prodpect and I'm sure he would have been up there in the near future. He was an enthusiastic aggressive rider and a great character. RIP.

Edit: For any of you interested you can send an email of your condolences to [email protected]
