Had the honour to meet with him twice, a charismatic and extraordinarily modest man with a smile that put everyone at ease, and eyes that somehow told you his life story. A great loss to all mankind.

I was interested in making a film record/documentary on the lesser known part of his life .It was to be for educational purpose, Libraries/Universities etc as opposed to public viewing. The idea was to record his life from the political view in relation to Aparthied and the SA Government, and his part in its eventual demise.Bit dull for TV, but important in Political history. His rise from a village to the Law, a Terrorist leader, Political prisoner, and his transformation to peaceful resistance and the Worlds greatest advocate for reconciliation is already well documented. His ability to forgive those who sinned against him is legendary. I met him in London in 2008 and later in Johanasburg. Both were brief, unforgettable, but sadly his health was already poor and his remaining time better spent on more important things. Do yourselves a favour, read his life story, "A Long Walk To Freedom". It will change you for the better.
