**** me that is worse than I thought. Also picked up he wasn't far off to hitting a marshal. And also cosi is right there was a green flag right above the incident. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with the recovery vehicle. It was in the process of moving back.

Shocking.

I will concede, just seen it with the thought "it can't be that bad". I feel sick. Why was the car going so fast round there in the first place? The only answer is the green flag that shouldn't have been there.

I've never gasped at an F1 incident in my life, seeing the video of Bianchi's crash left me speechless and sick to my stomach. If you haven't seen it: 1) The crash is actually worse than you think it is, 2) He is very lucky to be even alive at this very moment. 3) He hit the truck so hard he lifted a 3 ton machine above his head, 4) He hit that truck head on with his head,...

Sick to my stomach atm.

I wish I read this earlier.

I'll the word of those that have seen it.. I have no intention (or will power) to do so...
Still upset by the whole thing, mode will only really improve once (hopefully soon) we know he's out of danger and on the mend.
Could well see the end of his career this but God willing not his life!

Is it worse than Greg Moore's accident? If do, have no wish to view it.

It's not the same. I saw that live and it was horrible as you knew it was fatal. But Bianchi's accident was shockingly bad and I'm so glad it wasn't shown live as it doesn't look survivable. Maybe you shouldn't watch it.

Thinking of the green flag, surely it's the previous marshalls post that should have been waving double yellows.

It is extremely brutal... there's just no other way to put it. It leaves me amazed that he survived the initial impact.

That cannot be allowed to come about again.

Just seen it, agreed. It is sickening :(

I think it's fair to say he is millimeters from being killed on impact. It's already a minor miracle he wasn't. As sick as it sounds, this accident could have been even worse, we could easily have been looking at multiple deaths here given how many marshalls were close as well as Bianchi himself.... absolutely terrifying in every way :(

To anyone who is tempted to watch it, just don't. No matter how strong your stomach is, it's one that you wont get out your head.

This must never, never happen again.

He is stable .

I just saw the actually footage of the crash. The most frightening thing I ever saw. Bianchi' scar went right under that JCB lifting it completely off its wheels. This is way more serious than I thought at first. Wow there is. No way that thing should have been beyond those tyre walls with cars still racing. Wow wow wow.

I have also seen the footage. When this first happened I had visions of a little lightweight F1 car coming together with an immovable heavy digger and bouncing off. As a few people have said the extent to which it pushes the digger up the air is terrible and frightening. How he is alive I don't know, and how he didn't break his neck either.

I was just writing up an OP haha. Let me know if somebody else has one.

Unfortunately the forum software puts posts in time order, so can't change which post comes first. I believe Bhaji's is the first post I've moved, but if you've written something I can edit it in.

I was going through all those posts to move to a separate thread and it failed... Lol now I know why.

I thought making an unapproved thread might let you guys know what I was doing, and then someone went and approved it...
