Gary Milner, yesterday in Cyprus.
Huge City fan going back to the very dark days at Boothferry Park when he helped the club endlessley with sponsorship and support via his business in Coniston. The Gardeners Arms.
Bought a bar in Cyprus and continued his support from there.
Pleased he saw the best times.
Remember him flying home one Christmas to see us at Manchester City, I bumped into him in thier bar where neither of us should have been.
Gary was black and amber through and through and we have truly lost one of our own.

Really sorry to hear about the passing for Ray Henderson, watched him many times back in the sixties, good winger. RIP Ray
Didn't know about Ray passing. Another ex Tiger left us. He was on the right wing when I first started watching City as a boy. Always tricky, as wingers were in those days and he had an eye for a goal. Remember him scoring a hattrick in the first league game under the new lights at Boothferry Park v Barnsley, we won 7-0 and Chris Chilton scored the other four goals. He was also a member of the famous five forward line of the 3rd div title winning side of1965/66, all five of whom scored double figures. Ray from memory scored 11. Possibly our first goal scoring sub too, and maybe the first goal scoring subsitute in the league ( or our league at least)

Started watching at a similar time Tickton. For some reason I had the nickname 'old Father Time ' in my head apportioned to him. I may of course just be going mad. Any Tiger loss is a sad one... RIP

One from my early years going to City too. Didn't get the recognition outside the club that the other four forwards got but a good player. Like you I always understood that he was the first sub to come on and score in the league.
One of the names imprinted in my mind from an era when I loved everything about Hull City.

Same here, was on the wing when I first started going.
The first ever sub was Keith Peacock for Charlton Athletic. The first scoring sub in the football league was Bobby Knox for Barrow. Amazingly he also became the first sub to save a penalty when he replaced their injured keeper later in the season. Handy stuff for football quizzes.
Couple of years before my introduction to B.P but sad to hear of any former Tiger passing...R.I.P.

It certainly was, I went with the football team I played for by coach. I remember riding down Kingston road with my pal on my motorbike which we parked at his office down Wright Street, and it was snowing a bit as we rode down. We got to London and it was a lovely spring day.
You're right mate, always had a turtle reference, the current location is the 3rd location but all on the same road. Gary is my Dad.
Sounds like your dad was a good bloke and a proper City fan. Tickton Tiger saying someone is a good fan is sufficient recommendation to confirm that.
Thank you. He was City through and through. His bar was covered in memorabilia and must be the only place in Cyprus you could guarantee to see every game live! I remember games when I was maybe 15/16 in the sponsors lounge at Boothferry park when there were probably 2, maybe 3 tables maximum due to the ill feeling towards Martin Fish but my old man and his friends just kept sticking their money in. Ran the players bar for a while too.
Its easy to forget how bad those times were when we look around the place now but along with many of you guys on here my old man was one of the die hards who stuck through every set back. Seeing how excited he was going to European football and City games at Wembley was amazing.

Thanks Chazz. Really good grub. I could never get my head around a load of ex-pats shovelling Cottage Pie into their mouth every summer I went out whilst I was sat in the corner melting with a wet towel on my head! He cornered the market for a little piece of home and they came from miles around.
