It's still an awful shock even thought I was half expecting it. Really sad.

Just two days ago she accepted the resignation of one PM and appointed another. She did her duty, right up until the end.

This has hit me harder than I thought it would, given I'm no royalist. Just goes to show what an extraordinary lady The Queen was.

A truly sad day for our country.

The UK Monarchy has had 2 Elizabeth's - both extraordinary people resulting in 2 of the most famous reigns in history.

I'm not particularly pro or anti Royal, but it really does feel very significant. We will never experience anything like this again.

Hearing 'The King' is actually the most bizarre thing.

This will mean that Partick Thistle will have to change the words to their chant about the other teams in Glasgow. 'King' doesn't rhyme with 'Green'

At the moment yes, but I would guess it will be postponed. Although with the money grabbing Premier League you never know.

It really does feel like a momentous day in history. She kind of feels like an elderly relative who has just always been there through all the incredible changes and advancements, through the good and bad times that this country has faced.

An incredible Lady whose like we shall never see again. Rest in peace <rose>

It's just so unexpected really. Who'd have thought this when we woke up this morning?

She looked happy and, although slightly fragile, not exactly looking like she was at deaths door on Tuesday ... doing her duty right up till the end.

    Thank you, your majesty <rose>
