Like anyone of my age, I have experienced the loss of loved ones and friends, either to the passing of years, to illness or to terrible accident. Time does heal but the scars remain. However, the one death that is still unfathomable to me is that of a work colleague who committed suicide. It can be described as a callous and selfish act and to this day I cannot understand what drove him to it, however unhappy he may have been, but the fact remains that he hid his determination well. I have often wondered how many times he had decided to do it before he actually did.
On the 19th FFD, none of us will be mortally wounded - although it may feel that way for a day or two!!
Can someone explain why my comment was removed from here? Gary Speed died, and...? He's no different to any of the 50 million others who've died this year.
im a toon fan and was just looking through your board after hearing about the possible administration (pompey were one of my fav teams when they were in the prem) and wanted to say good luck on the future and whatever happens, also reading all the messages above, thank you all for sharing that, it really does open your mind about how people can have difficulties and deaths occur from it (especially someone like me who hasnt had to deal with anything like that) p.s. RIP gary, gave us toon fans a great 6 years
