Sad news today that former Bluebird and well known Cardiffian Frank Rankmore has passed away. Frank played for City in the top flight in the late 50s early 60s. Frank also had 1 cap for Wales.
Sad to hear that, one could say he had a good innings......a tough player. My memory is one of standing next to him as a young tit waiting for his autograph, when he was in conversation with another player, and hearing him clearly say “if Charlo comes i’ll Be fugging off!” That remark was concerning a rumour that John Charles signing was a possibility! He went off to Peterborough then I believe!
