Good to saved see them saved today, but can't help but feel for the fans, as don't want to see this happen to football clubs. Think the FA and governing body for the Conference have to come together and sort out a plan to help clubs who lose their football status, as there is a few club who have already gone bust in the last 10 years after leaving the football league.

Why should I care about Darlington?

Dunno whether you're from the NE or not, but if you were surely it's sad to see a NE go into liquidation?

I'm not from Newcastle, far from it, but I still think this is a sad thing for football, never good when a club goes bust and disappears. This almost happened to my home city club, Lincoln, a few years back. Luckily we managed to survive but it was still a bad thing to go through.

Great to see they've been saved for a bit longer. In a dream world a couple of big teams/owners/players can chuck in a few grand but I can't see it happening

Being from Bishop Auckland, Darlo is my main local team really. Horrible to see how they've fallen, they looked decent for League One a couple of years ago.

without going into administration and a points deduction they would have had an automatic promotion place i believe
