Our international singing winger in my early days, when the team consisted entirely of internationals he passed away yesterday aged 89, Colin not only starred on the field he once had top billing at the Sunderland Empire, pre Beatles, and he did appear with them as a supporting act in Stockport in 1963. RIP.
 
Good little OB in the Telegraph on him. He's had quite a life!

gone but still remembered by the few still alive who saw him, and a grateful bunch of Sunderland supporters who thank him for his magic
