Really sad to hear that Cheltenham winner Brindisi Breeze broke a leg in his paddock whilst on his summer hols and has had to be put down. Sadly racehorses get injured even when not on the racecourse.

I've watched his Albert Bartlett victory so many times, he was such an awesome sight to behold in that race, absolutely pinged every hurdle and kept pulling it out for Campbell Gillies up the hill. You could tell by the post-race interviews how much that meant to connections and my thoughts go out to them and Lucinda Russell in particular. I am absolutely devastated ..................................

What horrible news. Was going to be/was already a star. RIP <rose>

Can't add any more. Very sad for all connections and racing in general. RIP <peacedove>

It's now being reported that he jumped over the paddock fence and was hit by a truck in the early hours of this morning.

Very very sad news. He gave me a great run at Cheltenham. Thoughts to connections
