Had a health assessment two weeks back via work.

Results were back end of last week, all good with my PSA results and generally in decent enough shape for my age. Couple of results (gamma GTA and another, connected with liver and kidneys need a follow up with my GP just to be safe as slightly raised, but not worryingly so).

Usual advice of eat a little healthier, do a little more exercise... So forced myself out for a 5k run this morning. :emoticon-0107-sweat

5K done. I Jeffed it with Mrs Irish whom I taught to run and now leaves me behind!

Thank you Irish. Your post gave me the final push to get myself checked. No symptoms but been on my mind for a while. Saw the doc today, internal examination done and blood test booked for next week. All over in a jiffy and not the slightest bit embarrassing. Will let you know the result. :)

Hey BT. How was your PSA test?
Hope it was all okay.

Thanks for asking Irish. I have been away in Spain and only caught up with the Doc yesterday. All is good thank you. He told me anything less than 4.5 was ok and my score came in at 0.3. I am very happy with that, and it has put my mind at rest.
To anyone reading this who has any concerns and has not had a test, don't put it off, it could save your life!
Cheers Irish.

Cheers Remote. I am constantly telling any male over the age of 50 to get their prostrate checked and I do keep on at it! And I’ll continue to do so!!
I had mine checked a couple of months ago - my dad had Prostate cancer but caught it early and is now clear.
I had to fight hard to get the PSA check included in my Well-man checkup - my GP really did NOT want to include it.
I kept arguing and they allowed it in the end. I’m clear (for now).
