Sad to hear City have lost a legend to Alzheimers at the age of 78. a true NCFC legend, captained us to promotion to the top flight for the first time in1972. served the club for 33 years, as a player and on the commercial side, retiring in 2001. Lets go and beat the mighty Man U on Sunday in his honour.

I added my own comment to that:

Yes, a legend for City over many years. The first time I saw him was the Derby at CR in 1972. It was a goalless draw, mostly down to Dunc and David Stringer. In addition to his playing appearances, he and other players would often drop in to the café up by the castle. They did that by choice, enjoying the banter with those present. Dunc was always the leader, but also very warm in his banter. Tragic that such a great figure should have to end his life that way.

That's amazing Rick. That was my first City game. I had been to Portman Rd a couple of times with friends I was at college with and they said one day that they were going to the derby game. I went with them and found myself supporting Norwich. At that time the fans were all mixed up not segregated. I was in the River End behind the goal.

I was in the Barclay end behind the goal. Pity there were no goals! I remember Keelan in goal, Dunc and Stringer and Jimmy Bone was one of our strikers, but that's about all. I was at UEA at the time.
 
<rose>RIP.As a Town fan I always had respect for Bic Dunc, hard but fair and always gave 100% for you lot.
