Which is worse calling him a **** or calling him a rapist ?
I was at a home game a couple of seasons ago and there was a young kid behind me and i couldn't believe his language.The worse thing was he was with his grandparents and they were encouraging him

 

Banter..... ribbing a player/manager over something that isnt true.

Offensive chanting..... mocking a team over the death of former players or fans.

Defiantly a difference

 

The thing is that England fans do mock the Germans over the two world wars when they play

 

What are your thoughts about Hillsborough chants or showing banners about stabbed Leeds fans ?
If someone called you a *****phile or a rapist would you seriously think of it as just banter ?

 

Over the victory yes.

Sounds like great banter to me. Have a think about what you're doing with this "banter." You're accusing someone of a heinous crime. The more you joke about it, the more people are desensitised to it. These chants, and these accusations - which is what they are - are not funny, and they are not "banter."

 

It's a shame that Man Utd have never made the effort to identify the supporters who chant abuse about Wenger and taken appropriate action

 

They can't cos all those Chinese fellas look the same......oops!
