so who was then your key player upfront in the last 8 years then? he played 277 games for you in 8 years in all competitions .. that is 34.6 games a season ... that is alot

yes you helped RVP to be the player he is now no one denying that .. but he helped you too for 8 years and get zero trophies in return .. at the end of his career, sure he has to find another club which fulfill this wish for him .. AW was not ready neither to pay more wages or reinforce the team so Arsenal can really challenge for the title .. so he had to choose between either stick to Arsenal ending his career with zero trophies with less money or move to a club which offer both

and this is why RVP and Tevez are different .. RVP did show respect to Arsenal fans all his career .. and never said bad words on rest of players or AW .. Tevez did all that .. no way both players are comparable .. Tevez deserve all UTD fans hate

Wrong. He disrespected Wenger in his statement and patronised us.

In those eight season, he only went through two of those without getting seriously injured. We had rely on the likes of Adebayor,Eduardo,Bendtner and even Arshavin when RVP got injured. Did Van Persie question the ambition and direction of our club when he was on the treatment table having picked up YET ANOTHER injury? Did he ****.

Sorry Swan but you always spout so much incorrect **** it's incredible. 8 years at Arsenal and one ****ing good season does not make RVP a key player for Arsenal over that time. He was always a player with great potential IF he could stay fit. Wenger showed undeniable faith in him and RVP is now the goal machine he is today. His career is a story of injuries and time on the treatment table with some special appearances in between. You can only know this if you are an Arsenal fan. So no he has not been a key player for us and in my opinion he has completely spat in the face of Wenger for the support and faith shown to him. He complains about not winning trophies but maybe his time on the treatment table is a factor in that. It's Arsenals fault to be honest because we set ourselves up to be humiliated by him when we should have just flogged him to cska Moscow or some such team when he was ****ed.

277 games in 8 years for what's meant to be a first team player ain't sh!t!. Secondly, he didn't win zero trophies, he actually won a community shield and fa cup with Arsenal.

Secondly, that's the difference between a true loyal player, and a loser. A true loyal player stays at the club to fight and help them win that eventual trophy, a loser simply quits and moves on to another team where wining a trophy is easier.

RVP himself said that wining a trophy with another club wouldn't be the same or as special with Arsenal, HIS WORDS, and even now when he wins with United he will know deep down that it's an artificial win, any top player can go to a top club and win a trophy, but a real satisfying trophy you will always savour is one where you literally had to work your ass off, go through lot's of hardship, to eventually reach the motherland, when Arsenal eventually do get their hands on a trophy, the feeling is going to be immense, and very very special, and he could have had that experience, and he would've been a legend who's name would've forever remembered at the club, but he's blown all of that away to go win it easily with United for just a few seasons, after which he's gone, doubt anyone will remember him as a legend at United.

As for less money, we were willing to offer him 100k a week over 3-4 years, how much more f--king money does he need? This is added to bonus payments, merchandise % he would get, and his own personal sponsorship deals, so how much more f--king money would a guy need?????????

It is just banter, I doubt anyone actually thinks Wenger is a ****phile. Obviously there's a line when it comes to banter and that crossed the line, but it is still technically 'banter'.

I thought he joined the year after you won the FA cup? Still hasn't won a League title though.

I wouldn't say loser, modern day Footballer perhaps?
Well I'll agree with what you said about what RVP actually said, if you're going to say something as bold as that, you should have the balls to stick around, but I honestly don't think he'll care much if does win a trophy at United, he'll have worked hard all season for it. Doubt he'll feel any worse off about it.

Well rumor has it he's on somewhere between £180-200k. So imagine what you could be with £100k per week, and then double it. <whistle>

But the thread is about camel lips being a total ****ing hypocrite, not how well RVP acted.

Anyone notice Rooney screaming in provocation at your fans too?

If the club I loved, and supported as a kid, offered me 100k a week, and a ****y rival like United offered me 200k a week, i'd tell them to f--k off cause I'm staying at Arsenal, a club I love, a club where the fans love me, a club where i'll end up as a legend, and if I love Arsenal, there's no f--king chance in hell I'm choosing United over them.

100k a week to play for the club I love? You kidding me? Wouldn't even have to think twice about it, the boy in me pictured in an Arsenal jersey would be like weeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Dont see the issue with the chant really.

RvP isnt a rapist and United fans sang that song for many years.

Wenger isnt a *****phile nor is he Saville in disguise.

There not exactly nice songs but they cause little harm and are just football fans on the terraces a bit pissed <ok>
