It musta been I was singing to the mrs on the walk home.. Taxi after those beer prices :bandit:

Thats weird. I got quite nostalgic last night. My Uncle Pete was always in there. Him and Aunty Pauline. I was hoping he would be in there. Not seen them for years

Real Ale is good advice Dennis.
Cycled down the Hornsea railway track last night.
Went to Wrygarth inn ,Hatfield and Railway inn New Ellerby some nice East Coast IPA + a nice Goats cheese salad and some other ipa in Railway inn.
There was a couple at Railway having champagne with a Studabaker Hawk classic 1961 car.
    It looked superb.

Started drinking in there when I was a kid. Back room, pool table. Was in there when I heard that John Lennon had died. Whenever anyone mentions Lennon I always think of The Railway.

Haven't been in for probably 20+ years so don't feel qualified to comment on the current state of the ale. Sorry.

Its not a boozer I've been in many times. Always was a bit of an old uns pub I thought. It was an older audience last night watching a load of drunken musicians who i have to admit are good.

Wish I'd never took the gazebo down Chazz. It was a proper slate roof Victorian one, but it looked dangerous and we all thought it was going to kill someone at any time.

That was until I set about bringing it down.

Solid as a ****ing Rock and took me all day.

Me and Mz Kempton used to love sitting in there when it rained on a summer's evening.

Candles, couple of bottles of red, playing strip poker.

God we miss that gazebo :emoticon-0106-cryin

It'd been up for over 150 years and you thought it was going to fall down?

    Forgive my aggressive post.

My house was built in 1834, and I'd love a gazebo like that in my garden :(

    I almost put that hah.

We're in a mess, but we're not in ruins. We've still got a club, and after this sorry ****e is sorted, we'll still have a club. We've been close to ruin, and whilst this is obviously ****ing horrible, it's not the death of the club.

Another few years of council neglect it will fall down. A lick of paint wouldn't go amiss.
