    As much as I warm to Merringtons enthusiasm if he didn't bang on about width in every game of last season I don't think supporters who rely on Solent and saints player would believe it to be an issue.
    Our personnel were a cut above in terms of ball playing in the championship and we could just about get away with two strikers, but it will be too tough in the premier league. Swansea proved that with the correct shape and being well drilled in keeping possession you don't need superstars to keep the ball. In Lambert we have that weapon, that out ball the swans sometimes craved

    4-4-2 at home, 4-5-1 away most likely. Anyone know how J-Rod is on right wing?
