Dai! you really need to sit down before hitting the keyboard! Liverpool paid £7.5 Million for Aspas, we have £5 Million sitting in the bank from the Graham sale, do you think that we could not have added 2 or 3 million to have out bidded Liverpool? Our board and Laudrup must have decided to go for a better striker!......................<ok>

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has emailed a Danish newspaper stating that he's certain that the board will stick to their promises of supporting his Summer transfer intentions.

Yet again, there are doubts between seasons whether a Swansea City manager will stay at the club, as rumours have emerged tonight that the Swans boss is set to resign as the board have not kept to their promises regarding transfer funds for the Summer.

Laudrup's agent says his client is happy at the club as long as he gets the backing from the board. It will be vital this Summer that the board match his ambitions as the Dane clearly has big ideas to build a very strong team in preparation for the 2013/14 campaign.

The Swansea boss extended his contract this year to keep him at the club until 2015, but he did so as the club promised him to provide the much-needed transfer funds to build a stronger squad.

Despite the strong rumours that suggest BBC Sport understand that he is set to resign, the Evening Post have tonight shown an email that Laudrup has sent to a Danish newspaper:

'I'm happy to be in Swansea and I'm certain that the club's board will keep the promises they made when I extended my contract,'

'Why shouldn't they do that? It's in everyone's interests, the club's, the players', the fans'.

'It's in everyone's interests to have as strong a team as possible, within the financial constraints of the club.'

Laudrup is expected to have a meeting with the club's board soon. Hopefully he'll hear what he wants to regarding transfer funding and us fans can relax and remain confident that we won't be under-going yet another Pre-Season manager search.

If you believe jinx runs the show then you are deluded. He cant do anything without the real owners say so and you can bet he will be told to sort it with laudrup or else....<laugh>
