Here's an old one... You are out walking to go to a certain village -and come to a fork in the road. Just before you come to the fork, you meet two brothers who live locally and know where the village is. One always tells the truth and the other always tells lies- but you don't know which is which.
You are allowed to ask one question only- to ensure that you take the correct fork to your destination.
What is the question you must ask?

"Which way would your brother tell me to go"? Then you go the other way <ok>

Come on Oddy. You see Tam's avatar; that's me waiting for the next one.

Counting from zero to one hundred, how many times will you encounter the number seven?

(10)
(19)
(20)
(21)

This is to be done mentally without pen, paper or computer or else your a cheating c**t <laugh>

7,17,27,37,47,57,67,,87,97 as standalone numbers with seven in.

Then 70-79 all have it in so thats 10.

19 separate numbers in total but you have to include it twice for the number '77'.

So 20, in total?

Oddy, as its the quiz thread:

Am I going to see €1.3 to the £1 when I exchange my money in Mallorca this summer?!

I wish Toppy. If it hits 1.28 I'll be fixing my exchange rate for 12months. It dipped below 1.24 at close last night.

Correct but you weren't supposed to write it out, 20 would have sufficed.

Quick three questions..

1. Who's the only European trainer to win races on four continents?
2. Who's the only European trainer to win a division of the American Triple Crown?
3. Who was the first woman to train a flat winner in the UK- after women were granted a licence?

It might be Dermot Weld on the basis that he's won the Melbourne Cup and in the US. And obviously Europe. Don't know about the 4th continent though, I'd be looking at races in Asia and Dubai.

Where and when was the first race involving robot jockeys? Sorry, it made me chuckle.
