Puzzling. Do they have to call out the colour of their own hat? Could D shout out C has a black hat for example? 'Each of them know where the other three men are buried' How would they know where they are buried unless they have seen each other and seen which colour hats they are wearing?
C can be 67% sure he is wearing a black hat. Can't see how any of them can be 100% sure unless I missed something which I'm sure I have.
Think its C, he must know he has a different colour hat to B because D isn't calling it and if both B and C had the same D would call it because he can see both. D can't call because he doesn't know what hat he has. Confusing myself here I think.
I've progressed to having two white cups, two black cups and a book for the wall on my kitchen bench.
Dorty Mag, you used to do regular quizzes on the old fb247 site. No more? Did that have something to do with your job or am I making that up?
A personal favourite: This thing all things devours: Birds, beasts, trees, flowers; Gnaws iron, bites steel; Grinds hard stones to meal; Slays king, ruins town, And beats high mountain down.
Aye the quizzes were good craic, might do some more over the winter when I have a bit more time on my hands.
