Rickie deserves a last big pay day. It can be very hard for retired footballers, so many go bankrupt within a few years of leaving. Obviously their own fault, but SRL has only had a few good years and he deserves more. Would never begrudge him this move, but I wish it was just him. Sadly, he will be one of several and I won't be so happy for them.
Coming round to the fact that Rickie has gone. Never even had the chance to say goodbye. Never had a statement from him saying goodbye. It's an awful way to part. Who is going to take the penalties next season..? Nobody else can shoot accurately.
Just imagine if Gerrard was off the pitch and Lambert had to take a penalty against us but it was saved!
