Rickie Lambert - what is he worth?

And we've had a few crackers too. Off the top of my head, there's been Terry Paine, Kevin Keegan, MLT and Rickie. That's as far as my era goes back. Can't remember the ones in between.

 

If he gets us to Premier League from being in league 1, I think he will be as legendary as all of those names.

As an aside, how much is Nigel worth to us?!

 

Same as RL...priceless. I would be devastated if we lose Nigel. I know exactly how I'd feel because some rotten Pompey fan told me in the summer that Nigel was leaving.

 

Depends what mood you catch the fans in, if we beat Cardiff billions if we lose then probably nothing...

 

Actually, I would leave his in the penalty area. Probably get a few with his head and there is always a chance of a penalty as some defender bundles him over. Offside could be an issue, but would the Lino be able to argue that he was active?

 

I was a bit worried about wear and tear, which is why I limited the appearances!

 

Refs will never protect Lambert, dead or alive. They would probably say he dived.

For me Rickie is priceless. When he gets us up to the Premiership he will be close to becoming a legend. If he does it in that league he will definitely be one of our all time greats. Worst case scenario, I see him as a game changing impact player.
