Get in there!! :D
Hope you get a bit of cash from Saints for that, we really owe you. <ok>

Was begining to think it would never happen for him. Delighted for him, I really am. Best English striker right now <ok>

And a bit of cash wouldn't go amiss ;)

I think we owe you guys big time for allowing Rickie to join us, he has been magnificent in the 4 years with Saints.
Did you guys realise how good he was when he played for Rovers?

Best player I've seen in a Rovers shirt for decades.

Nurtured by the Gas, matured at Saints. Well done Rickie! <ale>

Excellent news for Lambo

deserves a call up as he got the most assists in the prem league last season always looking to bring players into the game at any level.

Hopefully he will get more than one cap and is not treated the same as was it Davies ex Bolton striker who acheived 1 cap along with other strikers including Micheal Ricketts,Francis Jeffers, David Nugent, Paul Goddard and has Carlton Cole just got one?

Not bad for a player who has moved up through all the leagues if he acheives the honour of playing for England he will join Geoff Bradford in our hall of fame.

Dont like to see his name mentioned in the same context as Rooney (as it has been else where) No comparison what so ever IMO.

Great news for RL and for the Gas in fairness, just shows he was traeted and coached the right wat whilst our player!

yes. i certainly did. on the old bbc606 i predicted he was good enough for the prem and england. i was laughed at by the city fans. all making the good point that he is slow and not proven above league 1 level. myself and other rovers fans were saying we know he was good enough as we see him week in and week out. he has the brains of sheringham and le tissier and the power and strength of shearer. we all had to agree to disagree until lambert gets above league 1 level. 1st season above league 1 he ended up league top scorer and didnt he get championship player of the season too??? not 1 gashead was surprised about this and all were chuffed to bits for him! then 1st season in the prem scored 15 goals and we were saying he deserves a england call up and still city fans declaring not good enough. but myself and many other gasheads down the years since old bbc606 have been proved right.

hope he actually gets a proper chance not just the last 5 minutes!

at least we will have a decent penalty taker on the pitch if he plays and a decent free kick taker too. all his doubters will be very surprised in lamberts ability if he produces what we all know he can. i wouldnt be surprised if he gets a chance to play that he scores a few goals too!

delighted for him and well deserved.should have had a chance last season though and wouldnt have got this chance if it wasnt for other england strikers not available.

Roy said that he thought about signing him at Fulham but didn't know if he could have made the step up and to be fair, he was probably right. Rickie at that point was ticking along as a League 1 striker with great ability, and he was probably happy with that, but he would have been had for breakfast in the Prem. The application that man has had to put in off the pitch has been virtually inspirational, I've never seen anyone change so much. The only regret is he didn't do it four years earlier, but I am sure there's a couple of good years in him yet.

PS remember visiting your place (the 1-5 not the 0-4!), the goalscorers got 25 Prem goals last season between them so, no hard feelings
