i have about 4 or 5 idiots who sit behind me and they boo when they hear garcia's name read out,one of these days my temper will get the better of me and i will have to punch these jokers,oh how i wish he had scored last night !! i say a definate yes to garcia staying, top pro imho
I'd give him another 12 months, and possibly suggest he gets involved with coaching some of the youngsters. Let him pass on the experience of the Premier League and International football, give them something to dream of.
Who's on twitter that can 'tweet' the link to Garcia? I'm on it, but have never tweeted and frankly I don't want to start as it'll be another distraction from the day job!
I don't like to see any player criticised at games but it annoys me particularly when it's Garcia, just because the idea he was ever a bad player was always totally fictional. He did a job up front which may or may not have been his preferred position and although it wasn't ideal, we've seen natural strikers do a lot worse. I really have no idea how he became such a good target for boo-boys. A lot of people are talking about his age and experience, he isn't actually that old is he. 30 I think, so younger than Koren...
Just tweeted him the link, doubt he will look but you never know. Don't think I have seen a thread with 100% agreement from City fans before! I hope we offer him a new contract, and I hope he wants to stay despite it being a very frustrating season for him.
Depends what his wage demands are. I don't think he's someone who'll start every week, but he's certainly worth having as cover within the squad and to help the kids, especially with the pressures of a promotion push. As things stand Stewart is the only senior winger contracted for next season, Rosenior is the only right back, and we only have 2 centre backs until Xmas. If Garcia signs for another year he's one of the 3 or 4 wingers we need in the squad and can cover Rosenior so defensively we'd only need a CB til Xmas. Ideally we'd have a CB/RB on a permanent for long term planning, but we need so many players that unless there's an obvious candidate lined up we'd be daft not to take up the opportunity to delay that particular signing for a year, fill one of the holes in the squad with a free signing who can do a job, and use any money we have to strengthen other parts of the team now.
Richard Garcia ‏ @RichGarcia19 Thanks to all those who want me here next year.....but it's out of my hands.....
Neither does this... Richard Garcia ‏ @RichGarcia19 “@ryanpeck11: come on rich sign the dotted line. Work your magic #oneofourown” - hahaha there is no dotted line to sign on.......
Prior to the Crawley Town FA Cup game YES I WOULD without a doubt. Then he gave a not arsed performance and was dropped. Saw a similar effort for the reserves recently and thought thats it he is done here. Then he comes back into the side and its Garcia as we know him. He is great cover for Liam and with 7 subs back from next season he will be on the bench at the very least. So yes IF he keeps the form up and he wants to stay and play for us then Yes. Give him another year. But i wonder if the dye has now been cast on him ? Time will soon tell. Well thats 37 yes plus mine = 38.!!! +++++++++++++++++++++++++ FANTASTIC.
To be fair most of our players would need Step Ladders to reach the crosses we put in. But i agree your point.
