Very sad to hear that Richard Fox has passed away today. He has been on life support for 2 months so we have been ready for this news but it is still very sad.

Although I did not know him my brother-in-law worked with him years ago and I was lucky enough to have a few drinks with him and Foxy one evening. It was one of the funniest evenings of my life. He was terrific company and racing has lost one of its great characters.
 
Very sad indeed,never met him but heard lots of nice things about him.Sad also that Mike Doyle of Man Cty passed away today as well.He was a nice guy too.<rose><rose>
 
Desperate news. Fox was from that great academy of jockeys, the Frenchie Nicholson school. He probably enjoyed life too much to bring his undoubted skill to fruition. But he was a man who lived his life his way, and I know no-one who had a bad word to say about him.
