"When Crystal Palace got into the FA Cup Final back in 1990 (with current Newcastle manager Alan Pardew in the team) we swore never to sponsor another football team. Just thought we could never get lucky twice.

Today looks like I was mistaken. It was Manchester United that beat Crystal Palace in that FA Cup Final. Well done Newcastle for sweet revenge!

Ok, I accept we're jammy bastards!"

I saw this. Lets hope he might put his hand in his pocket and give us some money for a new signing!!!

I was tempted to tweet him and say that, but I imagine he's getting inundated with messages from Toon fans <laugh>

It's weird that he's now associated with our club but he's not our owner.

I honestly believe Branson is the type of person who will get carried away supporting us as he watches how his investment is doing and grow to love the club.

This is the PERFECT result for us to hopefully win him over to buy us off Fat C*nt once and for all.

Howay Branson!

Branson is a predator:

Virgin Rail was a monopoly on the West Coast main line with initial subsidies worth hundreds of millions.
Virgin Radio and Virgin Mobile were both granted government licences to operate in a heavily restricted market.
Virgin Airlines was the beneficiary of regulators' decision to strip British Airways of landing slots between London and New York.
Virgin Money and Northern Rock is much the same.

The grass is never that much greener on the other side.

Yeah, this. His F1 team hasn't done amazingly either, last in the Constructors' two years running and he's just sold it off to a Russian car firm to cut his losses <laugh>

Still love the blog though <laugh>
