Had a text from a mate last night, well early this morning saying if sharp deal falls thru Vaz Te is next target. Unfortunately not heard from him yet to find out where this came from. Anyone heard this. Thoughts.
Experienced, not prolific by any means but another MM and TC can work their magic on.

Why not Warky, he would be good backup and last time he played in championship, he scored 24 goals in that season!!
He is a big lad and is something a bit diff to what we have.
I personally would not have a problem with this!!

Don't think he would be happy to come and play second fiddle to Murph and Goldy...

Maybe he would think he could get in ahead of Didz? Anyway, all speculation at the moment

Wood is being linked again, so it looks like we are after another striker and it will be one of the three linked!!

Wonder if MM is preparing for another bid for dids and would let him go at right price.

He hasn't played regularly in nearly 4 years that's why!

Unsure on Vaz Te. Wages would probably be quite high. Did well at Barnsley and started well at West Ham but unsure.

Murphy / Hunt / Sears / McGoldrick and linked with another - are we expecting bids and are we tempted to cash in on David McGoldrick one wonders.

Just looking at his stats over last 4 years. 67 starts. 80 sub appearances and 29 goals. Not prolific, we know, but plenty of championship and prem experience and as I said before just the sort of player mick and TC can work with.

    Just wondering about two things;
Is Didsys injury as serious as the one picked up last season or is he being left out as another bid is coming in and Didsy wants away?

It could be that he is not as important to us as he was in the summer....so could be open to offers.

    You may be right Weighty.
Whilst McG has contributed a lot this season he has started to play differently recently and I wonder even if him and Murphy have had words about their link up play.
If we bring one of Sharp (unlikely it seems now), Wood or Vaz Te in I don't think we'd need to hold on to Dids so much. As others have said, we could be willing to let him go now or in the summer.

I can't get excited about Vaz Te, not with such a limp goalscoring record, but I honestly can't remember what he's like as a player. Seems to have been at a lot of clubs for a 28 year-old, though. A short-term contract, possibly and probably not as wage-heavy as might be expected, given he's unemployed and we're an appealing proposition.

Vaz Te is fairly creative and good technically. Would link up well with Murphy if fit / in form I'd imagine. However not sure how interested / committed he'd be with workrate - that said, we all know players have to work hard under Mick so if he did sign he'd be okay if fit.
