Ricardo Pereira set to sign

Really really pleased with this. Maybe he’s using us as a stepping stone which I’m fine with myself if it allows you to bring in players with this class. Just wait till it’s revealed he has some kind of ridiculous release clause!

 

De Laet is much better then Simpson going forward but De Laet had a tendency to fall asleep alot defensively. He got away with it alot in the Championship but not in the Prem. Alexis Sanchez destroyed De Laet everytime we played Arsenal

 

Does my head in when everyone is like what a signing etc. When 2 weeks ago then never heard of him and all they have done since is check his fifa and football manager stats and watch abit of youtube

I hadn’t heard either but with the reaction and his pedigree on paper it does give you enough to think he may be very very able

 

I agree, I heard of him a few months ago and then we were linked with him. I’m sure nobody really knew about the likes of C Ronaldo, Henry etc (obviously different players, positions and on another level) but principal the same. You get a feel for it based on reaction and how they’re thought of within football

 

Hull werent happy to lose Maguire, Porto aren't happy to lose Pereira.

Always a good sign when fans are pissed about selling a player.

Id be more concerned if Porto fans wernt bothered enough to comment about it.

 

He's not a relative unknown mate ... seasoned international that will definitely improve our overall squad quality ...

 

Looks like we might have a rock solid defence next year if Evans does sign.
