I wouldn't want the Aussies to have a chance of chasing down 350 to win.
We need to bat them out of the game and then try and win it. We need a lead of 400.

If Sunday is a write off then need to give ourselves enough time to bowl them out.
Ans getting lead of 400 might be out of our hands if they bowl us out.
Yes be lovely to get 400 and have a day and half to bowl them out, but anything over 350 is going to be a tough chase given their first innings and the pitch offering more to bowlers now
The current forecast for Sunday is rain until lunchtime and then clear for the rest of the day. So I think there'll be plenty of time to see them off.

Watched this and tennis.
Really angry at how England threw a can't lose scenario and made it a toss up.
The lead is big on this pitch but a lot of players threw their wickets away just playing **** shots thinking they had it won already.
Buttler should be told do it again and there a lad desperate for your slot waiting...
Really annoyed they threw the last wicket too.
It would have been a nice little distraction for assits to have to field for tennis tomorrow

Harsh that like. They've set them 412 to win ffs, that's never a 'toss up', the World record run chase in a test is 418, and 400+ has only ever been achieved 4 times in the history of the game

Yes it does seem harsh, but why are we all still so worried if it is going to be so difficult for the aussies? I will tell you why, we were lucky in their first innings that they play some V. poor shots and then we did similar in our second innings. Are we favourites and do I expect us to win? Yes but its far from clear that we will.
