Looks a good day for batting, lots of sunshine.

Hopefully can Broad can play like he did v NZ and help push us towards 400.

400 afte rbeing 30-3 is a very good score <ok>
 
our run rate at 3.97 is pretty good.

If we can see ali get 50 that will be a useful contribution from him and keep him in the side if his bowling is even average.

If borad can take 25-30 that would be good imo.

They are rotating the strike away from broad which makes sense.

bit of an iffy one... Potentially ball may have just bounced before

Moeen looking good, streaky shot to get to 50 but played some lovely cover drives

Ali has done ok. his score is quite good now so if he could even get a 100 here if the others just stand there its a big deal.

you would quietly hope for no worse than a draw on this pitch if we get to 450.
