I expect moeen to get around 60 and bell 130 ish.
 
Think Root knew he needed to push on the scoring.

Think get to 450 then start having a slog.

Problem like they mentioned earlier is you don't really want the bowlers going back to back unless knock them out very quickly. Get 500, bowl them out for 250 or 300, bat again get quick runs and get a lead of 350 then hope to bowl them out again with fresher bowlers.
 
i think you take the two days. Either finish today and have a bowl late on or give india a half hour run about in the field tomorrow then declare.

IF you get 500.

to get a win here you need to not let inida take 2 days over their innings.

but it could be all for naught if england f it up wit the bat from here.

Butler got lucky with that.

Shame can't go back to asking the player if he caught it and taking their word for it as 3rd umpire always gives them not out.
 
Butler couldn't have come in at a more perfect moment. No pressure to score runs given the score that was already on the board, could just go out, get his eye in and then play his natural game.

These two go and get another 50 runs in the next 7 or 8 overs then have an hour to bowl at them this evening.
 
bit of luck too.. i feel him smashing a 43 means all pressure is off him.

i would dearly hope cook doesn't leave people out there to get 200 when we could get at them right now.

With Butler going into T20 mode, have a feeling Cook may just say you've got 5 overs to go get your 100.

Currently on 83... Once he gets his 100 we'll declare, should have done so already once we got to 550 but Cook's feeling sentimental it seems.
 
Butler gone... and declaration comes.

going to have 40 minutes so 8 or 9 overs to bowl at them tonight. Hopefully get them a couple down.
