Second test at Lord's starts tomorrow. Simon Kerrigan of Lancs in contention for a return. Hope it goes better than his debut

as you have alluded to... bowl for wickets not waste a new ball as well..
It has to go down as India's session! 72/2 on a seamers Wicket Englad will be disappointed not to have got at least 3 by Lunch..

There are too many in this team that have played far too much Cricket and are so out of nick!
The golden Ashes generation has come to the end and we now have to renew over the next couple of years before we face the Aussies again! Its going to be painful but we are dying a slow death with the current crop!
The most depressing thing is that we haven't got a ready made replacement for Swanny! We have always had some beautiful Spin bowlers and even in this department we are badly lacking!
