Agreed billy. Think ar ruff will be there for a thriller of a day. Ideally we can hold out til lunch tomoro. Then skittle the ****ers out.

What's the weather report for the next few days there? Would be nice to get a bit cloud with the ball swinging and seaming about.

Think it's pretty much the same. Doesn't sound like they'll get any help from the weather.

Lead 232...come on England

Broad played that off like a pro. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Acting worthy of the West End that was <laugh>

**** them anyway. I hope Broad goes on to score a hundred, the moaning arses would have been well out of it if had Agar been given out at 117. The spirit of cricket is one thing but the spirit of the Ashes is win first and ask questions later <ok>

got lucky i suppose which kind of evens itself but australia will see that as one guy lbw or not is umpire call but broad cheated.

bell has given england a shot and he needed someon to stick. amazing swings and roundabouts. 260 odd i thought was defensible but with 4 wicket? 300 could win it.

Can't believe I'm missing so much of this due to work <doh>

I can't see the Aussie's getting 200 with Swann turning it at right angles, let alone 300. Think this game is pretty much won already. Been a great start to the series, although the batting has been terrible. The first 2 days, the pitch looked alright and it seems players were still in 20/20 mode.

The Broad decision was shocking but it makes up for the Agar decision. England have done well to recover, just need to continue to build until midday tomorrow IMO, give themselves plenty of time to get the Aussies out who are obviously going to try and drag it out now.

Have you noticed either side sticking around for two days thus far?

No?

That's it it won't happen 4th innings.

No but first two innings both teams batted poorly. There are wickets in the pitch but also runs for anyone who's patient enough and gets a bit of luck....and the Aussies have had plenty of that so far. We're definitely back in the game though now. Set up for a classic day for you to go to tomorrow <ok>

Indeed, but it never happens. Teams don't suddenly flick a switch and think 'let's just knuckle down and bat for two days final innings'. Mental and physical tiredness has taken over by then. Even if we score no more runs and are all out in an hour tomorrow Australia still will not win.

As for the Broad incident, only just seen it as have been on the beach all evening but after yesterday I say **** it. Ordinarily he should walk but Trott was not out yesterday and they also must have heard him hit it.

Both sides will have to live with **** decisions all this series.

England have just done a day and a quarter. With them having four wickets left they could easily make midday session tomorrow, that's pretty close and would be more time than the Aussie's have remaining.

Happily bet you my house they couldn't pull it off.

<ok>

I don't think they will pull it off either, just saying there is a possibility. Of course, this all comes after a comment I made early on today before we built up the lead we now have too. #hindsight

Nothing to with insight on my part, thanks. At no point at all have I suggested we're doomed. Not once.

Anyway, not sure of the actual figure but in test history probably only a handful of teams have ever chased down over 300 and this Aussie side aren't that good.
They've been toiling in the field while Anderson, Swann and Finn get a nice rest. I can see only one winner.

I never said hindsight was anything to do with you, the hashtag was aimed at myself.

I said we needed a 300 lead for the Aussie's to chase and it could yet be bigger. Fantastic!

I should go to bed, long drive in the morning. Should be a top day.

Booked a hostel to stay at, **** knows what that will be like! Looks alright though mind.
