Half decent lead being built here now.

Bear in mind had Sammy (agar, get it?) been given out when he WAS out stumped we'd have had them out for 130.

I know it's an if but should we get a lead of 200+ then we're back to being favourites.

Can't see it Rufflad. If Prior had hung around, then maybe.

Think we need to aim for an optimistic 300 lead. The Aussies have two full days to bat (assuming we're all out by the end of today)

Don't be pessimistic, this is building up to a classic finish.

Here is my prediction, if we are not all out at close tonight we will win. Tall order with one full session to go but that's the way I see it. We could still win if we don't see out the day but less likely.

Have you noticed either side sticking around for two days thus far?

No?

That's it it won't happen 4th innings. <ok>

looks to me like this one is now down to hope rather than expectation. Bell and broad could bat to 100 each they are capable, so is swann but the bowlers are proving capable of taking wickets so i'd say 8 times out of 10 the aussies would win form here.

300 target would be nice, 165 now means another 145 runs and frnkaly if we get another 100 i think we'll do very well. 240 to 260 run lead is attackable.... thats why i give england a shot at it f one in 5 or so.

Every time I've made a remotely optimistic comment, **** has happened <ok>

I wasn't saying the Aussie's would. I was pointing out that they would be able to take their time and pick off the right balls to play. Hence needing a 300+ target (imo)

****ing hell. Was hoping we would be doing a tad better, been on the beach all day til now.

For rhc's benefit. The sea was lovely temperature. <ok>

But did you piss in the sea...?

No but first two innings both teams batted poorly. There are wickets in the pitch but also runs for anyone who's patient enough and gets a bit of luck....and the Aussies have had plenty of that so far. We're definitely back in the game though now. Set up for a classic day for you to go to tomorrow <ok>

Agreed billy. Think ar ruff will be there for a thriller of a day. Ideally we can hold out til lunch tomoro. Then skittle the ****ers out.

What's the weather report for the next few days there? Would be nice to get a bit cloud with the ball swinging and seaming about.
