Broad retiring from all cricket after this test. 2nd greatest pace bowler in terms of test wickets behind Jimmy

Sky commentators asking are Australia punch drunk due to bazball. ? Well, they’re going home with the ashes so it’s irrelevant. What is relevant is the mistakes England have made, Bairstow as keeper, the declaration in the first test and then not declaring earlier in the last test.

Meh. Going home with it due to rain if we win this one. Yes England made mistakes but been overral better team and actually entertained the crowd and made people not interested in cricket get interested. Can’t fault them, been brilliant.

Fair play to Broad. Smart moving announcing it now as well so the crowd can proper get behind him in the field tomorrow. Smash a few 4s then go out and get 5 wickets and win the game will be a beautiful send off for one of the absolute greats in world cricket not just England. 600 wickets, would go down as England best if it weren’t for his mate at the other end!

They were going home with it before this test.

Was just about to say interesting tactic.. broad swinging and just turning down singles.

then goes and pulls a big 6 off final ball.

Well that’s was an odd couple overs. Turning down all the singles and just a 6 from Broad.

Time to get some wickets before the rain comes.

I reckon this is good as the aussie openers have to at least get changed etc. they will have expected to bat very quick but at least they are not set up all morning

would you want Anderson to face pace after seeing his octogenarian performance yesterday?

I sort of get that, but then why turn down the singles off Murphy to get broad on strike. Could have come in and have a swing. Australia weren’t going to bring field up so was always easy singles available

yeah but Jimmy can actually play a couple shots v spin so expectation will probably be stick down that end jimmy
