It's not great for England.

There's sides getting draws v Afghanistan and that's hardly ideal for them.

A draw v aussie with our powder dry isn't the worst result is it?

The loss v Ireland knowing rain was coming and butter going out first ball was a disaster. Always chasing the run rate amd failing though alli got us close

T20 is all about luck really. Big swinging and how gets a few blows in or not. Thr luck can swing anyway really so that rain might be an issue for us as the group goes on

Some cracking games in the WC so far, mainly involving Pakistan. 2 games lost on the last ball of the games!

England v Australia just been called off due to rain. Real shame, who’d have thought rain would be a problem in Australia!

Opens up the group though especially after irelands win v England earlier in the week.
They should really hold the tournament in a drier country. It's irresponsible to let such a major competition be so disrupted by such a foreseeable problem :bandit:

Win the final 2 games and should go through so still all in englands hands.

If we do go out, only got ourselves to blame for losing against Ireland.

Sri Lanka just got twatted by NZ. Not feeling too confident <yikes>

Sri Lanka are a very poor side these days tbf. Lost their opening game in the pre qualifiers.

Nz are in decent nick though. Should be good game tomorrow.

Still think SA look the team to beat. Struggled against India yesterday but then 2nd half of their innings picked it up and won against a very good bowling attack.

Australia smashing Ireland which although expected isn’t great for England. Australia have poor net run rate, but a big victory would put them closer to England.

Put them 2 points above with 1 game to go against Afghan who you’d think they’d beat.

If England beat NZ, then beat Sri Lanka, Australia beat afghan and Nz beat Ireland as you’d expect then all end up 7 points. Net run rate gonna be huge

The Australians did alright.

Pretty good sorce and easily bowled Ireland out well short.

Afghans are only there for pig iron anyway so they were only ever getting scores off draws with rain or Ireland. Have to assume Australia will destroy them..

You've just asked England to beat nz who have thumped sides and Sri Lanka who have also been dangerous. Big big ask.

England starting well. Hales batting nicely, butler not quite firing just yet. Going just over run a ball, set himself up to now push on and get that strike rate up.

Seems like Malan drop down order now with Ali, livingstone Stokes looking to come in

I am assuming that buttler is conscious of being out first ball/over and had said let hales have his go first.

at least 180 needed.

Butler picking it up now. Got himself in and got through the spinners and starting to target the quicks.

imo we have only hit par here. 179/6 as the wickets started to fall.

much depends on first 5 overs and bowling bow as that short boundary is going to be the focus.

this might have been the final bar the ealrier rained off games so you have to expect nz to come out swinging don't you?
