in the end 14 runs is nothing. forget it.

Now its all about getting into them and keeping into them hard and fast.

have to take the ten wickets for no more than 200 lead.

if that doesn't happen the slow the pace right down and time waste.

anderson is beating them. thats the issue. its almost like he's too good that they can't hit it.
once he is done for the day (soon) then its all over and a draw is the best result

213/7.

Result inbound.

England have a 20% chance of win and right now 60% shot at loss. 20% the draw?

England flaky. Need to score quick to win but will throw wickets away

I dont get the England coverage.

Sky has headline of England going for a stunning win. The lead is 238 with 3 wickets left

250+ lead on day 5 is an almost impossible chase in call it 80 overs (at best)

That's clipping along at 3 and over and skittling them out in 10 overs or less.

It's far far more likely England are 100/6 and fighting to save it bravely :bandit:

At least the declaration is probably out of play as it'll be a run chase to get as much a lead as possible as quick as possible for nz tomorrow. 250-280 quite possible and then you are leaded for 4 and over

Could be a very exciting day of cricket. Need to get Mitchell very quickly though/

or the 3 on the other side.

I think sky are hyping it far too much. 250 lead is probably as much as you'd want to chase final day surely. at least the BBc were a little less eager to make it win or bust.

286 was highest ever successful run chase here. and only ever 3 over 200.

We will have max 80 overs? maybe only 70?

This for me looks like

stage 1 = very very quick dismissal of the NZ team. lead is 238

stage 2 - lees surviving 10 overs. (crawly won't anyway.) lees seems to score quick enough so he'd be the first who needs to perform.

Stage 3 = root and stokes partnership of about 100 they could score heavy and quick but if neither man does it then nobody else will.

Tickets free today i just saw. complete sell out for today.

the members will not be happy that their relaxing snooze in the sun while drinking to excess is going to be spoiled by a heap of common folk and chavs turning in.

Plan worked in the end. Irony is the quicker England bowl NZ out, the more likely a NZ win is as well.

Should be an interesting last day if can get these final couple wickets soon.
