Bit of a disaster but then one person had fight. Bairstow on 90 odd now.

Stokes was incredibly lucky but got some and is gone.

likely to be skittled in the morning but australia must bat again so now england innings defeat this time.

so despite Bairstow a 100 still 150 behind with 3 wickets left and leach broad Anderson who could all easily get bowled out for a combined 10 within couple of overs.

game is far from over, would still
mske Australian firm favourites to win this. Skittle is out early tomorrow bat and get lead of 300.

Think best we can hope for is more rain

Best case is a lead of less than 100 going into second innings but yeah more rain is what's needed.

Australia will want that 300-350 lead to have a go at us.

Root has gotten worse as the series has gone on.

my next note of distain if for the wounded hero bullshit the media are running for stokes.

This stupid england selection committee ruined several tests in 2020 resting players to prevent injury and then played buttler half fit and crocked him and how stokes is willing it seems to be out for 6 months as he might play despite a side injury thatwill 100% rule him out of bowling.

so england will blow his participation for probably a long time again for a dead rubber test?

england pick a scratch side including sam billings. no disrespect to the lad but he is no more a test player than I am. Get a great start then lose all momentum 164/4 now having been 4 wickets in for **** all.

pitch looks like it was all over the place as well.
 
root's captaincy here is seriously in question. its day 1 4 in and he has gone into a shell here and the field is set to save runs and australia are laughing at him.
