has to be surely. but he is pretty rubbish with the bat so we hav3e to resolve this issue.

? Would you pick anderson given he has faded so badly second innings but is likely to be good here first innings esp OR do you go for wood for more pace and break up the line up even more??

Anderson home ground. Has to play. Plus he’s our best bowler, gonna be overcast conditions so he’s a must.

Tbh prob gonna rain most of the week so prob won’t even get a result.

yeah, thats the main reason imo. I would be serius question him going out on ashes though. can't see it ending well.

He wasn't bad when he stayed with Stokes to win the test against the convicts. You'd consider dropping the world's best bowler at his home ground <laugh>

Must admit I like to think I would drop Jimmy for this test.

If I Actually would I don't know .

The facts though are he us on fire in the first innings , but not the second and j think we need variety so Wood for me .

Happy to be proved wrong though .

I do think Wood needs to play IF totally fit .

Well if it gets to a second innings anderson has looked well off it each game it has to be discussed.

Picking for picking sake is no use. He should be in for his matching winning first innings displays but his second inning stuff is not to be ignored.

Leech is **** batsman. End of. Hes not in like alli to bat field and bowl. That's why he has only been picked where england think it will turn.

Same. Would I? I dunno.

Think about it? Have to.

Robinson offers a lot so far. Woakes can bat and can be a third seam option. Two spinners. The question is do we go with anderson for about 10 overs per day or do we go for wood for higher pace and perhaps more bounce
 
whoever put that up had to take it back down again.

Clearly somethings kick off in the background as the result would have bearings on rankings.

peope are out of pocket here so i'm sure there's stuff going on in the back ground.

its unclear what the result is now and this was said to be going ahead yesterday evening so people may have travelled to the ground.

I've not turned sky on to hear about it. Any fans who went deserve answers and compensation as this was on until 9am or so this morning.

someone has clearly made a call here to get players out for the IPL and who cares about fans in a pokey english setting.
