Did like Warne trying to be positive about yeah maybe 20 short of par, 250 is about par, pitch doesn’t look like its great

england come out, 76-0 off 13 <laugh>

thats a perfect start.

well ahead of what would be needed as a start and seen off the first stint of the heavy hitters.

I don't care what a pitch is like really bar the ball just keeps far too low off it. The conditions might induce swing and thats another factor but if you don't get 300 you SHOULD lose. it doesn't mean you will but you SHOULD.

At this rate currently england are well on track 85 off 14 = 6 and over = 300 run rate target.

With 0 wickets down and 35 overs yet to play england COULD if were batting first have chased 350 as a first innings from this.

The longer it goes now at 4 or 5 and over from here on in the more desperate it becomes for australia.

its now 90/0 as i type off the 15th over.

The key for me is joe root next in. The two in can both get centuries but if theres one man coming who can craft an innings its root. Autralia need very quick wickets.

Another 50 from openers and its plain sailing to final.

aussies ****ed it up there. smith on and loses a massive amount fo runs.

4 more overs for the innings.

117 scored.

england can play 3 an over from here if needed.

Poor decision to use the review on Bairstow lbw, Roy nowhere near the ball.

But then again poor umpiring to give it out.

Yup no idea why JB reviewed it. It was plum in front so unless he thought he hit it but surely you’d know if you got an edge? And because of it it means Roy couldn’t review a clear and obvious error which is what these reviews were actually brought in for.

Hasn’t cost us in this instance though luckily. Absolutely hammering them, 27 needed from 22 overs.

EASY!! EASY!!!

final here we come. NZ have 2 key men to get out.

If we bat first we will set a huge score.

If we bowl first we have been getting into teams and taking wickets.

We push comes to shove we can bowl at a sub par target and give our best.

Archer has been huge for us.

Some have suggested Bairstow should be barred from taking reviews due to his record. The comments no doubt got a like from the England dressing room.

Dick the Black Cats.
yep that will be the biggest downfall.

the 2 favs, lets be honest, fell at the semis final stages and could so easily gone the other way (not so much us, but esp india and the removal of dhoni), just hope because of that complacency doesn't set in.

We were in utter control.

It was never going any other way.

There's one key wicket and one key bowler for nz.

Remove that and it's game over imo.

i know you mean williamson the captain, but think you are doing taylor an injustice there, he is an experienced player.

But his average is not match winning on his own.

Roy
Bairstow
Root
Stokes

Not do much Morgan but he has scored, butter etc backing up.

Nz need two men to perform and give platform.

England bowlers have been great and batsmen can score even if some throw their wickets away.
