Too many of the supposed top order batsman just don't have the technique to play in Oz. No point picking players who excel in England or Sub Continent if they can't deal with Oz conditions.

Same with pace bowlers. ....they aren't pacey enough as a whole lol.

I can't see it ever changing while the team is selected not taking this into consideration. I don't know but how many English young players go out to Australia to play regional cricket?

as I said yesterday 3 50s needed. just get in and score a few ffs. but no. incapable.
 
I don't give a **** who wins the Ashes, but I do love Test cricket and the Ashes are always fiercely contested.
But looking at it from England's point of view, this Test is massive. If they can win this 3rd Test (regardless of history for a minute) then its
2-1 down with two to play, and England only need a draw to retain. This series is not over yet.
