Going well this morning. Time to see if we will actually bat like a top team for once in this series.
 
Time for Cook to get a decent 100. Had a poor series by his standards so far.
Root also needs a score as without his hundred his average would be something like 12!
 
And on that not Root just been bowled for 2!
Time to move him back down the order, not good enough against the new ball to be opening yet.
 
****ing magnificent ton by Bell. Once again, it was in a highly pressurised situation, which underlines his quality. Now we need to push on and get to at least 300 in front: preferably 350 <ok>
 
WTF is up with Pieterson? Thought he was meant to be our best batsman?

his ego gets in the way sadly.

thinks he is invincible and makes silly mistakes, if he played like Bell does conservatively, he would probably get 100's all the time, but he thinks he can twat it all over the park.

There's certainly an element of this. He was a little unlucky yesterday as he over-compensated for Lyon sliding them across him. He's the most naturally-gifted batsman in the side. Bell is the best technically. The late-cut he's been playing was worked on for 3 hours in the nets and there it was. It's a beautiful shot that I hadn't seen a batsman play for a long time.
