Bad review threw away one. it was miles over. then takes an age to answer. Root shouts at hameed and robsinson 3 times has he hit that and then fails to get review in. Its a clear LBW not reviewed.
really poor from his team there. root let down by guys not wanting to be wrong.
robinson is flying the ball over the top of the stumps cos he is bowling too short.

india absolutely class batting in very difficult conditions and have seen off all we had.

Robinson gets one. The bad missed review is paid back by karma with one sliding down leg being give out and review was umpires call.

Strange test. Pitch was just doing enough day 1, but since then it’s looked easy to bat on. Has it slowed down as it’s been played in more? Is so you’d expect it to be spinning but moeen not really been involved.

Its headingley. It's always lovely day one then flattens out till it wears.
The quality of seam and swing has been too good to take anyone off for spin. Curran and alli was poor combo

Yes absolutely.
We had a good half hour to go at them with the front line team and upset a tired team who were stood up in the field all day.
Take 2 then and they couldn't be positive today.
The negativity in England's approach is astounding. Look at that lbw appeal. Not one guy would answer root so he has to guess and didn't make it.
They've toiled today protecting 4 runs not being really aggressive when the pressure was on India.
I'm thinking Indian declaration and England bowl out again the way they are going.
England will need good wickets with new ball and hope to get through India. If that doesn't happen I can see England go really negative again and throw this chance away

Joe root proven right batting that extra bit longer just to score those few more runs and get a nice innings win instead 4 days.

Nor should you given you know england toiled all day yesterday having missed the opportunity to have two goes at their openers for all of 25-30 runs we didnt ever need.
It was as I said the new ball that was what was needed
England should just play all games at Headingly, its the only time England look any good.
