How many times did he win the Ashes as captain? <whistle>

how many runs did he score doing each one then?

wtf has the team performance got to do with his individual batting.... if Anderson broad Flintoff etc etc all perform under him who's to say an off field decision maker wouldn't get the same out of them.

every other sport has off field coaches and decision makers.

cricket hands power to best player to decide who what where and when and they are exhausted. their batting goes to pot.

Can't have this discussion. It's enraging me before my birthday. BACK OFF <grr>

I agree with Z. thats just a nice bit of luck there. sometimes it might come off most times it doesn't.

He knows his team mate is where ever.. thats just awareness of the field and he's thrown it as high as he can in that direction in hope and his team mate has dived and produced a good catch.

he's made a good catch himself, shown awareness of the ropes and team mates location and had to take the gamble. well done to him

but there's a big slice of luck involved in it.

Its kind of like saying lucas made assist of the season last year for punting it towards can for that over head.

Shame couldn’t win this series 5-0 to make up a bit for the test series.

To come from 8-5 to 200 is a decent effort but looks like Australia are about to knock off remaining runs to win this one.

its classic england.. went on a jolly celebrating their 3-0 series win and in their heads they have done it so they absolutely get spanked.

If the test side starts thinking it can't win a test they all just throw the bat at it and just lose

Hsrdly. Last 3-4 years been best ODI team out there. They play aggressively and normally it comes off, today top order all had a bad day in tough conditions. Maybe silly shots but that’s what gets them 350-400 eah game.

Id rather watch us get 400 with the occasional 150 when we collapse compared to the old turgid slug away to 270 every game

oh did i miss when they won stuff? i beleive they are actually 3rd bes in rankings but thats not even my point.

my point is attitude.

if england (at every level btw) have already won a series or have no chance of winning or its a bit tough theres not an ounce of scrap in them.

you could almost bet on england losing this game TBH.

its not just a bad day. thats just excusing it. we just consistently see this stuff.
