He did a good job for us last season as well, steadying the ship after the hapless Martinez.
However, this season he's been dire, albeit the lack of a quality striker has hampered him in fairness, but he's looked a beaten man for weeks and he'd lost the fans as well as the dressing room. Tough gig being a footie manager, but I'm sure the £9m pay off will soften the blow

Truth is, he never connected with the fanbase, he never seemed to 'get' Everton, and therefore his period of grace was small.
