98 - 2 at lunch. We've probably shaded the morning session with that scoreline. We could do with batting an absolute minimum of 60 - 90 minutes after lunch without losing another wicket. That would put us in a strong position.

98-2, First Session of the Ashes, I'll take that!
Now, ball hopefully goes soft and stops swinging and the cloud burns away, if so, I don't see this Aussie line up troubling the likes of Trott and KP, only way they'll get out, is if they get themselves out!

Pieterson can be very good at that <yikes>

It would probably have been a good toss to lose as I fancy jimmy would've got right amongst them and the psychological damage going cheaply does would have been beneficial later on in the match/series
Still not convinced with Root at the top, would much rather Trott & cook open with bell 3 KP 4 & root 5
13 overs an hour is a disgrace, won't be finished until 7pm at that rate. Already a good way through a Chablis, will be ****faced by the close

Don't know if you saw my earlier posts, but I'd have found it hard not to bowl.

Time will tell. I think we're not in too bad a shape really but wonder what Jimmy Anderson could have got out of that cloud. Anyway, we could have 300 by close and if we only lose one or two more wickets it will be good.

That Chablis sounds good, I'm half way through a protein drink myself. Not quite as nice.

Bit of a shambles to be perfectly honest.

I know it is literally a 50/50 call but more than one of us thought bowling was the way forward and that was even before we saw the weather. If only to put the pressure on, which is now on us.

Daft.
