Good game, some great fielding to compliment some big hits. England look on course to win it and then manage to throw it away in the last few overs by not being able to hit any fours <doh>

Not sure about Root opening,much rather stick Trott at the top with cook and Bell at 3

I quite like the idea of Root opening. It's his natural position, I believe.

So do I. With Pietersen back then it's easier to do with the full strength middle order below him.

He definitely should open.
 
I see the convicts have fast-tracked the citizenship of a Pakistani leg-spinner to ensure he's eligible to play in the first test, which is now just over a week away. Can't wait <ok>
 
The aussies are currently plaing my count side. got offered a free ticket for tomoro but cant go.. The aussies were all training on monday night in my mates gym also.. we did try an get him to injure them but he wasnt up for it.

If he was any good he'd been in the Pakistani team, but he's not and isn't, the Aussies are desperately seeking the next Warne, but there won't be another like him!
I don't see this chap being a factor if he plays in the Ashes..
