Not surprising.
Good to see him back, think he can be very dangerous when on form but does tend to go for a few runs. Think probelam is him and broad are both quite expensive when not firing 100%

can carry one of them if others are economical because he'll get you wickets but of both are being expensive game can runaway from you

yeah need wickets to make it work.

wood was very good at the discipline bowling and showed a bit of pace as well.

unlucky for him.

finn can do a job.

both men in should be quite eager to play.

Good start. Skittle them out for 170 and back for a bit later tonight and finish on 100-0

The expert view on the wicket was that it'll quicken up Day 2, so don't get the flags out just yet......

Bad decision.. (for now), should have bowled.. another wicket before the first hour is out and the Aussies will be up **** creak without a paddle!
Esp. if that wicket is Rodgers! The rest of that middle order doesn't scare me..

Quick wickets are nice to bat on.. only issue is if its quick and moving in the air and seem..
But, by then, movement off the seem should be less and what ever dampness there is in the pitch should have gone!
Weather looks dry for most of the test so should be a batting paradise come day 2 and 3.
