At Perth on a fast track in a few days. Several of our players have shown a fear of short balls from Harris and Siddle, let alone Johnson - and I mean FEAR. The Aussies can scent blood, and we'll be lucky to walk away with a draw, but we won't.

I blame Botham for predicting a 5-0 whitewash for England. What hubris. Richie Benaud predicted Australia could win, and that should have made us sit up and take notice as he's no ridiculous bombast like Beefy. Benaud v Botham; who's the expert? Now THAT match is a walkover, Ian.

Despite my loathing of the convicts, I always liked and respected Richie. A true gentleman <ok>
 
Surely got to give Finn a go on this next pitch? Yes he may be expensive but he takes wickets. Could be our Johnson.

Carberry, Bell, Root & Prior have all got a few runs in these games now (unfortunately none of them in the same innings) so if they can keep that up and Cook & KP get anywhere near their best then no reason we can't make a decent series.
