    Just for old cyber stalker Norman Bates-May (aka Fantastic ****e), who I know is watching closely (only having two members on line on his site at present), here is my line up for Brentford on Saturday;

    Pope

    Solly Gomez Morrison Wiggins

    Wilson Cousins Jackson Harriott

    Pigott Vetekole

    Not the best side in the world, but crammed full of British lads & Academy products. Imagine Norman's splenetic rage from afar when that line up runs out at Griffin Park- but imagine the pride in those of us true fans who will be there, cheering them on <cheers>

    Totally agree with the last two posts. The new signings may or may not work out, as usually happens with new boys. However, we can actually buy players, which twelve months ago was unheard of, and after last season, we actiually have investment in the pitch for the first time im decades. People moan about wholesale changes in the squad, but last season we nearly went down, so it was'nt really a suprise, nor indeed a bad idea.
    Finally, back on topic, I hoped Reza would develop, but if he can't be bothered to knuckle down and adapt, best off all round if he moves on out. No room here for passengers.

    I'm still trying to work out if Vetokele is British or an academy product <cheers>. Or is it just an insistence that Church never plays again? <laugh>

    Reza Ghoochannejad: Charlton striker leaves The Valley on loan
    Charlton Athletic striker Reza Ghoochannejhad has joined Kuwait Sporting Club on a season-long loan.

    The 26-year-old Iran international joined the Addicks from Belgian side Standard Liege in January and scored one goal in 17 appearances last season.

    Ghoochannejhad featured in all three of Iran's games at the World Cup in Brazil earlier this summer.

    "It was Reza's decision to leave," Charlton head coach Bob Peeters told the club website.

    "He told us that, after the World Cup, he wanted to go to another country and that was Kuwait.

    "If a player wants to leave then it makes it difficult because their mind is already weak from wanting a transfer.

    "That is why we made the decision to allow Reza to leave.

    "Because Reza has left, we may now look to see if we can bring in a replacement and see who is available, but at this moment we are working with the squad we have and I am happy with them."

    Meanwhile, fellow striker Piotr Parzyszek, another of Charlton's January arrivals, has joined Belgian Sint-Truiden (STVV) on a season-long loan.

    The Poland Under-21 international made one substitute appearance for the Addicks in 2013-14.
